Overtaking Empty Overtaking

When overtaking if the car who is behind has any part of there car along side the car they are chasing when they enter the braking zone then this is deemed a fair chance of an overtake.

if a chasing car is behind this can be deemed a lunge and to aggressive often results in forcing other drivers off the track or contact is often made.

we realise in real f1 lunging from extremely late braking and throwing the car up the inside of a corner from several car lengths back is common but we don't endorse this on the game.

please remember this in the future.

If somebody makes contact and spins the car their overtaking wide . Aren't they forced to wait and give the position back?

If they cause the incident then yes they're meant to. If they don't they'll receive a penalty & normally it'll be a penalty for the collision and another form of penalty for not waiting. But if someone is involved in a collision where they don't believe to be at fault they are allowed to carry on.
