Fia Agenda 01/07/2014
FIA 1/07/2014
Agenda
• GP2 race reschedule (13/07/14)
• Interleague Update
• GP3 Appeals
• GT500 league for Gran Turismo
Meeting Summary
GP2 – Brian is going to message the drivers from the league to find out when is best to reschedule
Interleague update – Brian is willing to mod the forums. As it will be on the new site, Vern and Dave will spend some time this week going through the new system with him
GP3 Appeals – Gamer V Devil. This involves incident along the first DRS straight where gamer appears to squeeze devil. Although it does not look like gamer intentionally squeezes devil, the way the track limits shift meant that devil was not left a cars with and was forced off track. All drivers must leave a cars width of space to other cars, and if this had happened at Singapore or Monaco both cars could have ended up in the barrier so gamer need to try and be more aware of the position of other cars on track.
Other incidents were reviewed from this race, and it has been decided that Gamer is to receive a suspended race ban (which is to only apply to reserve races. This penalty will not apply to GP4). This was decided as it is not fair for a reserve driver to cause incidents that can affect others who are potentially racing for championship position. We urge gamer to drive with caution in future but if there are any incidents in the next race he will not be able to reserve in Brazil.
GT500 – The GT500 league is decided to be a 12 round championship, spread out over 24 weeks. It is likely it will fun on a Tuesday evening, starting at the same time as the other new GT6 leagues (likely that FIA meetings will need to be moved to accommodate this) . Charlie is going to evaluate the exact car lineup, but is likely to be GT500 cars (not JTCC), as well as all of the other details such as track list and regs. Test races will start from next Monday to help work out the details and build some interest.
